The WB-1 is designed to match the impedance of the speakers to the amplifier. Some amplifiers require an 8-ohm to 16-ohm impedance load represented by the speakers. The WB-1 is available by order in a 2x, 4x or 8x impedance-matching configuration. When operating an 8 to 16-ohm amplifier with speakers that represent a 4-ohm or 6-ohm impedance, the amplifier will not operate properly. The WB-1 with a 2x configuration allows the operation of the 4-ohm to 6-ohm speakers with an amplifier that requires an 8-ohm load. The WB-1 with a 4x configuration will show the amplifier an impedance of 16 ohms when operated with 4-ohm speakers.

The WB-1 Speaker Impedance Matching Device allows you to safely connect 4-ohm speakers to an amplifier that requires a minimum load impedance of 8 ohms. You can also use multiple WB-1s to match impedances when connecting multiple speaker pairs to an amplifier.
Using high-quality autoformers for impedance matching, the WB-1 comes standard with the autoformers fixed at 2x. The WB-1 is also available in 4x and 8x impedance-matching configurations.
